Sendmail Enabler is an application which allows you to turn on and use OS X's built-in mail server with just one click. The latest version of Sendmail Enabler provides users with a much-requested feature : the ability to tighten the security of the mail server to deny spammers an Open Relay. There is a new 'Options' button, which allows you to set 'Restricted SMTP Relay.' With this set, the server will only relay mail for users on the local network, which is what many people have asked for. Version 1.1.3 adds support for sendmail's Masquerade feature. Also, it now takes a look at sendmail's queues before it starts up sendmail. If necessary, it will create the queues and set their permissions correctly. |
